Concern about the declining fortunes of small town centres, Flintshire and Denbighshire Council (on seperate occasions) asked Coya to increase the footfall to three rural town high streets by creating publicity and events, as one way of enhancing the vitality and viability of the towns.
On-line retailing, supermarkets, parking, retail parks has hit rural towns hard; shopping is never going to be the same again. We where asked to bring life into the High Street of three small North Wales towns by creating a vision, engaging local businesses and inspiring people to visit. We whipped up a storm, created events, drove in footfall and communicated to an inch of our lives.
We took on the challenge knowing it could be a difficult due to the amount of stakeholders involved in community projects; Boards, Retails, Councils and Associtions must be constantly balanced. Establishing and driving plans with a demanding audiances is no job for a shrinking violet. Resiliance and strength of character whilst operating diplomatically was the toughest challenge of delivering memorible marketing actitivites, but we succeeded and left Towns with tools to use for future promotions to contunue the work.
If you are a Town Manager or Trade Association looking for marketing to generate footfall and visitors we will be happy to share our success stories with you. Give us a call.
